I/Design Protege is an application product for industrial designers whoare performing conceptual design, modeling, and visualization. The systemprovides fully associative 3-D surface and solid modeling, along withparametric and variational modeling techniques, for 3-D freeform andfeature placement. Features include: Foundation (separately available),variational geometry and dimension driven solids models, user programminglanguage (PPL), and MicroStation/IGDS translator; Freeform Modeling(separately available), nonuniform rational B-Splines (NURBS), andoffset/skinned/lofted/blend surfaces and solids; Rendering andVisualization (separately available), phong lighting model,patterns/texture/transparency, and interactive light source placement andmaterial editor; and DXF Translator (separately available).
